Coverage
1-year warranty options
Tested before it's listed
Every appliance is checked for function at the warehouse before it goes on the floor. What was tested is written on the listing — cooling on a refrigerator, a full cycle on a washer, heat and tumble on a dryer.
Warranty options available
1-year warranty options are available on qualifying appliances. Whether a specific unit qualifies, and what the coverage includes, depends on the appliance — we tell you before you buy.
Condition disclosed up front
The cosmetic damage on each unit is described on its listing. That damage is the reason for the discount — it is disclosed at the time of sale and is not treated as a defect afterwards.
What to ask
Before you pay, ask these
- 01
Does this specific unit qualify for a warranty option, and what does it cost?
- 02
What does the coverage include — parts, labour, or both?
- 03
How long does coverage run from the date of purchase?
- 04
What is the process if something fails — who do I call, and what happens next?
- 05
Is any manufacturer coverage still in effect on this unit?
- 06
What is excluded? (The disclosed cosmetic damage always is.)
Coverage terms
Getting the specifics
Written warranty terms are provided with the appliance at the time of purchase. Because coverage varies by unit and by the option selected, we do not publish a single set of terms on this page — it would not accurately describe every appliance we sell.
If you want the terms in advance, ask us about the specific appliance and we will go through exactly what applies to it. If you have already bought from us and need to make a claim, call or text the warehouse and we will walk you through it.
Questions
Warranty FAQs
Is a warranty available on KT Appliances appliances?
1-year warranty options are available on qualifying appliances. Coverage is not automatic on every unit and terms vary by appliance, so ask about warranty options for the specific unit you are buying before you complete the purchase.
Are KT Appliances' appliances tested?
Yes. Appliances are tested for function at the warehouse before they are listed for sale. Washers are run through a wash cycle, dryers are checked for heat and tumble, refrigerators are checked for cooling, and dishwashers are checked for fill and drain. Each listing describes both the cosmetic condition and what was tested.
Does a scratch and dent appliance still have a manufacturer warranty?
It depends on the unit. Some appliances arrive with manufacturer coverage intact and some do not, and coverage on an open-box or scratch & dent unit is not guaranteed. Ask us about the specific appliance — we will tell you what applies to that unit rather than make a blanket claim.
What is not covered by a warranty?
Cosmetic damage disclosed at the time of sale is not a defect — the dents and scratches described in a listing are the reason the appliance is discounted and are not covered. Coverage terms for functional issues vary by appliance and by the warranty option selected.
Ask before you buy
